179 deduction ends December 31st

Everyone that sells equipment or leases equipment is pounding the IRS Section 179 deduction for obvious reasons. While this gets pretty old after a while, it is something that those who are on the fence about replacing business equipment should be aware of.

Here is a link to the IRS's site to get a good idea of how 179 works...IRS 179 article. So if this looks interesting to you here is another link to a calculator to see just how much you might save using this deduction. 179 drepreciation calculator.

Remember , income tax deductions are only good if you have "taxable income" Just buying something for the sake of buying it is not a good idea and in the technology world if you push something out to the cloud it becomes a 100% write off ALL THE TIME as a business expense.

So is the tax deduction afforded by the stimulus act a better deal than having your phone system in the cloud? Examine all the options and the Total Cost of Ownership on your system and make the best decision based on your situation.

Reliability Matters!

What's the biggest drawback for putting your telephone system in "The Cloud" ?
Reliability...... Since POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) is still the most important communications tool for business, the number one reason why businesses don't use cloud based telephony services is the fear of unreliability....... they are afraid it won't work!

So why do cloud based telephone services fail? Since cloud based (and traditional) telephony is delivered over a network, failures are usually caused by network problems.......in other words, your internet fails to deliver. Why does this happen? Sometimes networks go down, right? Internet, telephone services, cable tv systems, private networks...they all have problems sometimes. In reality , we all know that all of these networks have exponentially increased their reliability over the past few years as the technology has matured. Think about it...how often does your internet really go out now? For most people, the answer is "not very much".

The second cause of problems with any "cloud" service is typically network overload. Let's think of a network in terms of plumbing.....there is a finite amount of "water" in the system and the more people you have using water, the less water pressure there is for everybody on the system. Too many people trying to get "water" leaves everybody with a trickle. So how do engineers (and plumbers) solve these issues? PLANNING! Plan to have enough water to meet everyone's needs and plan to eliminate waste.

Planning to have enough "water" is pretty obvious but how do you eliminate waste in the system?

In the plumbing world, they use low flow devices to reduce the demand. In the network world we use systems that require less bandwidth to accomplish the same task.

E Techs Advanced Communications System is designed to use less bandwidth than any other cloud based PBX on the market today. The result is a more reliable and robust system that won't overload your network.

Is Your POT Bullet Proof?

The most important communications link for most businesses is the POT...Plain Old Telephone.
The hottest technology topic for business today is "THE CLOUD".

Both of these statements are pretty much irrefutable....right?
What if you could infuse your most important communications tool with all the positive attributes of "THE CLOUD" ? Would it make sense to do that?
E Techs Advanced Communications System does just that.....

If you want more from your POT....mobility, flex ability , scalability and sustainability...take a look at the Advanced Communications System from E Tech.
